Groenvlei Viewpoint & Beach

Groenvlei Viewpoint, located near Sedgefield on the way to Wilderness, overlooks a stunning stretch of untouched, natural beach. Access is via a dirt road, usually well maintained, leading to a viewing deck and a short boardwalk down to the sand. Visitors can take in the breathtaking scenery, enjoy peaceful beach walks, have a picnic, or simply appreciate the raw beauty of this unspoiled coastline. It’s also a great spot for birdwatching and, in season, whale watching. Note that there are no bathroom facilities at the viewpoint — the closest are found in the village at Groenvlei Lake, so plan ahead.
