Wilderness Mouth Beach, officially Wilderness Main Beach, is renowned for its wide, unspoiled white sands and scenic coastline. Stretching approximately 9 km, it offers plenty of space for visitors to relax, stroll along the shore, or enjoy the water.
Safety & Lifeguard Information
Lifeguards operate as part of the Blue Flag program:

1–13 December: 09:00–17:00

14 December–31 January: 07:00–19:00

1 February–30 April: Weekends and public holidays, 09:00–17:00 (possible extensions on good weather days)

1 May–30 November: No lifeguards; extra caution advised.
Swimming in the open ocean can be dangerous due to strong rip currents, but the calmer estuary waters provide safer conditions for children and less confident swimmers.

This beach is not dog friendly.
